Designed by the late Joel White, this little boat is about perfectly proportioned for a yacht tender, versatile,
lightweight, and pleasant to look at.
This boat was built to WoodenBoat plans. The hull is okoume marine ply, fastened with bronze and glued with WestSystem epoxy.
Once assembled, the hull was then sheathed with 6 oz. fiberglass cloth and epoxy
up to the sheer strake. Additional laminates were added to the chines and the bottom
of the keel for greater durability. The daggerboard trunk and keel are bedded with
3M 5200. The inside was primed and sealed with Interlux
Wood Primer. Both inside and out are finished with Interlux Brightside Polyurethane.
The spars are Sitka spruce and finished off with Epifanes varnish. All fittings are
bronze. Rigging and painter are classic three strand with the ends properly whipped
to prevent unraveling. The rubrail is a synthetic, UV resistant canvas over a half-round
of foam.
